Atkins is a multinational engineering and design consultancy positioned in several key markets including aerospace, defense, transport and oil & gas. They were appointed official Engineering Design Services Provider to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Brief
Atkins moved into a new four story, 9,000m2 regional headquarters in Bristol, England. Requirements included system scalability, dual card presentation, free access on certain doors at specific times and the ability to print customized security passes for staff and visitors alike.
Solutions Provided
- The ACTpro access control system was identified by ARJ Security as the ideal solution.
- Following initial consultations, it was identified that by installing ACTpro Mifare readers the ACTpro access control system could be seamlessly integrated with the cashless vending system already in place.
- This would give Atkins a one card solution for access control and the cashless vending thus reducing ongoing costs and administration.
