Vanderbilt Boosts SMS and Video Management Products with New Updates

Vanderbilt USA’s signature products will see updates on Oct. 1, 2019, as its Security Management System (SMS) and Video Management System (VVMS) add increased functionality, scalability and more value for users.

SMS, ideal for enterprise-level customers are seeking a single source solution for integrating a facility’s access control technologies, digital video and alarm monitoring systems, allows for significant scalability for today’s and tomorrow’s security needs. New features for SMS are in line with ensuring this is possible, including:

• Integration with the Allegion’s Von Duprin RM/RU Exit Devices, which ensure internal doors can be remotely reset from an override state
• Integration with Schlage ENGAGE® Series LE Locks
• Enhanced support for the Authentic Mercury platform
• Updated SMS Launcher Icons
• A five-day, unlimited functionality Installation License that allows for additional time for setup
• SQL Named Instances

VVMS, which provides video recording and retrieval solutions for a variety of needs and budgets, delivers video servers for small to medium-sized systems, as well as state-of-the-art video storage servers for large, multi-site or global enterprise organizations. Vanderbilt offers a range of products that can fit a number of business sizes, but has enhanced the offerings to include:

• New version of Vanderbilt VVMS video software with an easier to use, updated user interface
• Undocking for multi-screen display
• Configuration of the VVMS system from a single location on a centralized management server
• The ability to create maps from satellite images natively
• Backward compatibility with 4.X NVRs, along with new NVR hardware bundles, which include extended warranty and upgrades
• New VVMS product bundles
