Two Shows, One Message: Ready for Any Challenge

Last week, Vanderbilt had the privilege of being in two places at once: At the Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2018 in Las Vegas and at Security Essen 2018 in Essen, Germany. The two shows, while very different in scope, allowed Vanderbilt to deliver the same consistent message across both regions — that Vanderbilt is Ready for Any Challenge.

It's a mantra that has encompassed our year of success and the driving force behind the development and update of our access control, intrusion and video management solutions, and it continues to guide our business into the last quarter of the year and beyond. The valuable conversations about the state of the security market, the emerging trends we're seeing and how our partners are delivering products to customers make shows like these worth the planning and investment made and allow us to continue building relationships.

Between the two shows, more than 60,000 attendees had the chance to attend educational sessions, connect with partners and customers, and check out the innovations emerging in the market today.

During Security Essen, Vanderbilt was honored with second place in the 2019 GIT SECURITY Awards - Access Control, Intruder Alarm, Perimeter Protection category for SPC Connect, its hosted cloud-based solution designed specifically for installers to monitor, manage and maintain SPC panels remotely from any location. The announcement was followed up a few days later with more good news that Vanderbilt was a finalist in the Security Hardware Manufacturer of the Year category in the Security & Fire Excellence Awards supported by IFSEC and FIREX (the winners will be announced in November). Both awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication by the entire Vanderbilt team to quality products and services that benefit both integrator partners and end-user customers.

GSX 2018 allowed the ACRE brands, both ComNet and Vanderbilt, time with integrator partners and some members of the media who were interested in learning more about the company and its plans for the future. SourceSecurity's Larry Anderson sat down with ACRE CEO Joe Grillo to talk about the continued consolidation of the market and how that affects the end-user customer. Vanderbilt Vice President of North America Sales Eric Widlitz spoke with Security Guy TV Host Chuck Harold about ACT365, the show and how the new product is performing in the U.S. market.

As Vanderbilt looks toward the end of 2018 and into 2019, shows like these allow us the opportunity to build and nurture relationships — all the while proving that we're ready for any challenge.
