Offering Three Unique Experiences at ISC West 2016

In just a few short weeks, we will be heading to Las Vegas to set up booth #11099 for ISC West 2016, demonstrating our technology offerings that enable users to achieve a high level of security and safety while allowing them to realize new levels of intelligence. Visitors to our booth will share in our company’s culture as we demonstrate that, to us, “teamwork” and “a positive attitude” are not buzzwords; but rather, a way of everyday work life. These visitors will step away knowing that our mission is to secure facilities by tightly integrating access control and video. But, we aren’t stopping there!

Vanderbilt will introduce Vanderbilt VI Connect, a custom-configurable data management system that integrates Vanderbilt’s SMS with third-party, disparate systems of any size to automate business workflow. Data is processed and manipulated based on custom requirements and then routed to the appropriate third-party system in the required format. This solution has been especially popular in higher education environments where student data — demographic information, enrolled courses, housing information and badging settings — can be processed and manipulated through the VI Connect system, ensuring that a student is only allowed to gain access to campus buildings that are relevant to that particular student’s major.

While we’re on the subject of higher education, Brian Mathieu, our Director of Sales, along with some of our valued end users, will participate in the panel discussion: “Access Control Trends in the Education Sector,” from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, in Room 307 in the Sands Expo Center. Grab a cup of coffee and come prepared to learn the trends in today’s access control marketplace for the education sector; considerations for deploying an access control solution that functions with other campus systems; and ways that these systems can aid in emergency situations. This panel will be moderated by Martha Entwistle, editor, Security Systems News, so questions are welcomed and encouraged!

We also invite you to our booth to shake hands with our new Vice President of Sales, North America, Eric Widlitz, who is responsible for managing our global sales team while focusing on the growth of Vanderbilt’s North American business. Widlitz will also work with our existing channel partners while expanding technology and integration relationships into underserved areas. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont, so if there are any other Rally the Catamount fans on the showroom floor, be sure to stop by!
