Vanderbilt upgrades Bluetooth readers with new Module

Wiesbaden, Germany, March 2022 – Vanderbilt International, a global leader providing state-of-the-art security systems, is pleased to announce the continued improvement of the company’s Bluetooth offerings.

The latest Vanderbilt Bluetooth addition complements their reader range by allowing any Vanderbilt OSDP or Wiegand VR series reader (VR10S-MF, VR40S-MF, VR20M-MF, VR50M-MF)to be converted into a Bluetooth reader. Additionally, it supports credentials issued via a VCredential portal (VCredential.com).

This is a significant customer-first benefit. Installers can now make simple upgrades in the field with an easy-to-install, purpose-made Bluetooth module that also fits any standard EMEA backbox.

“Essentially, this means that customers do not need to buy new Bluetooth readers outright,” says Michael Moyna, Senior Product Manager at Vanderbilt International. "They can instead upgrade their existing OSDP or Wiegand VR series readers in the field with this new Bluetooth module. This provides excellent flexibility and cost-saving measures for the installer.”

Vanderbilt’s Bluetooth readers reduce the total cost of ownership by extending the life of the existing system controller and hardware while allowing a smooth migration to mobile credentials.
