IFSEC 2015 Brings Together New Vanderbilt Team

Amid the hustle and bustle of IFSEC International 2015, where attendees and exhibitors browsed new products, discussed recent innovations and gained new insight from industry professionals, Vanderbilt arrived ready to mingle. But that mingling didn’t just happen with conference attendees – two companies that were once separate entities came together during IFSEC after Vanderbilt’s recent acquisition of the Siemens Security Products business was finalized June 1.

Leaders from the two businesses met together for the first time during a culmination of the months of work that went into finalizing the acquisition and bringing the two businesses together under one roof.

IFSEC itself provided Vanderbilt with the opportunity to speak with stakeholders about the company’s new profile, visit with some of the more than 30,000 attendees and showcase the company’s latest offerings.

For the first time ever, Benchmark Magazine held the Benchmark Innovation Awards at IFSEC, recognizing innovations that deliver tangible benefits to security professionals. The program had 44 security products in contention for the awards. Vanderbilt took part in the program, presenting the bright blue® Intelligent Access Management solution and demonstrating its capabilities to attendees on the show floor. The winners will be announced in the September 2015 issue of the magazine, published the second week of August.

The positive spirit of the conference continued as Vanderbilt Managing Director Joe Grillo hosted VIP luncheons and met with many key customers in the company’s double decker booth. Vanderbilt’s presence was also made known by banners and strategically placed advertisements that let attendees know the big news: Vanderbilt is evolving into one of the security industry’s premier products manufacturers and developers. As Grillo stated in a release earlier this month, Vanderbilt has “a commitment to reinvest 10 percent of our annual revenue into new research and development programs.” This means Vanderbilt is a company to watch as they move forward in the security marketplace and come together to form one amazing team.
