ALOA Expo 2019: The Key Conference for Locksmiths in Security
Access control is central to many comprehensive security plans, but controlling access can only be done by installing the right kinds of locks and keypads that deliver the protection that enterprises require. Enter: professionally trained locksmiths and security professionals. These pros specialize in installing locks, deadbolts and other mechanical or electronic locking devices to safeguard homes, businesses, vehicles or other property.
But this skill takes time to learn and requires the development of technical standards to govern how the work is done, which is why the Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA) Security Professionals Association exists. ALOA was created to ensure excellence and ethics among these professionals, as well as expand the exchange of trade information and knowledge with other related organizations to preserve and enhance the industry.
Each year, the ALOA Convention and Security Expo is held to bring these security professionals together to not only participate in continuing education and training, but also view the latest products, meet suppliers one-on-one and discuss some of the trends forthcoming in the industry today. This year, the Expo will take place on Aug. 16-17 (with education sessions Aug. 11-15), at the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Vanderbilt will take part in the Expo at booth #1104, showcasing its signature cloud-based access control and video management solution, ACT365. ACT365 is designed to allow remote management of single or multiple locations, all from an easy-to-use interface. Each Access Control Unit (ACU) is a single door IP controller and connects to web-based software hosted in Microsoft Azure.Vanderbilt team members will be on hand to provide demonstrations of the technology, answer questions about the right solutions to fit their needs in the market.
