Church of the Good Shepherd (COGS) was started by several local Anglican churches on a half-hectare site in Singapore in the 1950s and officially opened on 31 January 1960 by the Bishop of Singapore.
Selecting an access control security system for a church poses a set of unique challenges. The system has to be user-friendly and be perceived as “welcoming” for the public and church members to worship in peace and comfort. More importantly, for COGS, the system must be scalable and be user-friendly to ease manpower limitations in the management of the facility.
- In accordance with the brief outlined above, Vanderbilt ACTpro met these essential requirements and was selected by the new Church of Good Shepherd in Queenstown, Singapore.
- The system was installed and tested in March 2021.
- The system consists of 23 protected doors, including offices, sanctuaries of worship, and other prayer rooms.
The installation was carried out by Main Hardware International, a one-stop solution for access and security control in Singapore. For more information, visit www.mainhardwareinternational.com/.
“We are pleased to work with Vanderbilt and Church of Good Shepherd on their new building. As well as the powerful and yet flexible features that ACTpro offers, it also has the capabilities to integrate with a room reservation system which the client may consider to implement in the future."
